HOLIDAY CLEARING HOUSE 2010

Autumn has arrived and people are thinking about football games, apple cider and preparing for the colder weather. From here, it’s a short hop to the season of traditional family gatherings, stores decked in garlands and, already, our annual Holiday Clearing House program!
This holiday season will mark the 55th year of serving the less fortunate residents of Delaware County by providing new clothing, toys and gift cards for children and food for families and senior and disabled homebound residents during the winter holidays through this program. In 2009, we were able to provide these items to 497 families and 172 senior and disabled homebound residents; a record number!

This community-based holiday program is successful because of the generosity of our community! Whether you are a private citizen or are with a business, church, civic association or school, we invite you to participate in this program. You can do this by sponsoring a drive to collect food, new clothing or new toys; providing a financial donation; or volunteering your time. Each year hundreds of people donate items and/or volunteer their time to make this a successful program. Your participation will provide a brighter, happier holiday season for the residents of Delaware County who are less fortunate.

Below you will find the schedule of events for the Holiday Clearing House program, which begins on Saturday, December 4th. Once again, the program will be housed in the Delaware County Fairgrounds Coliseum building.
We thank you for partnering with us as we serve the residents of Delaware County and wish you – in advance – a happy holiday season!
Should you need additional information, please contact Carolyn Leasure at 740.363.6284, ext. 101.
