To better serve the residents of Delaware County with emergency assistance, PIN will be moving to its new headquarters at 138 Johnson Drive on Aug. 13 and 14.
In preparation for the move, we will DISCONTINUE SERVICE AT OUR CURRENT LOCATION (274 N. Sandusky Street) ON AUG. 11. Normal business hours will resume at the138 Johnson Dr. location on Monday, Aug. 17.
The new, larger facility will allow People In Need, Inc. to receive large quantities of donations with ease and provide food distribution to residents of DelawareCounty once a month. Because of current space limitations, we have been able to provide food only five times a year.
"The need for food has grown tremendously over the past few years and we are excited that we will soon be able to increase this service," said Kevin Crowley, executive director. People In Need, Inc. assists families and individuals of DelawareCounty in a collaborative effort by providing personal emergency assistance with dignity and respect in their time of need. Services include a food pantry; limited help for utility bills for those facing disconnection of services, shoes for school and school supplies, smoke detector batteries and electric fans; emergency housing assistance; emergency dental and medical assistance; advocacy for those searching to attain self-sufficiency; and the Holiday Clearing House.
